Shipping & Receiving Associate
Position Details:
- Location: Woodbine, IA
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shift
- Pay: Starting at $19 per hour; pay is dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing items against invoices, bills of lading, orders, and other records.
- Prepare, package, label, and ship products according to company procedures.
- Determine appropriate shipping methods, routes, and rates.
- Assemble containers and pack products using proper protective materials.
- Process shipping documentation, postage, and shipping charges.
- Inspect incoming shipments, document shortages or damages, and coordinate resolutions with carriers.
- Route materials and products to the appropriate departments.
- Review outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate material-handling equipment, including hand trucks and lift equipment, as needed.
- Assist with returned, damaged, or defective merchandise.
- Support team members and other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred but not required.
- Computer skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be capable of operating a forklift; training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
